NEW TWIN VICE CHAPTER: [link]Feeling pretty lousy. Ahh, this sounds really shallow of me, but I posted a new chapter of Twin Vice Paranormal Detectives (my Harry potter fic), and the hit counter's high but the review count isn't, so I'm thinking no one likes the latest twist in the plot

I know I took a risk with it, but, yeah. Not feeling so confident now XD Writing's been a real struggle for me lately and I think it's showing. Uch, anyway, I'm feeling very down in the dumps tonight. You know that way where you want to cry, but you just can't? Haven't felt this bad for a long time.
Argh, I'm just feeling sorry for myself because I really hurt my back. Paaaaain

I found it really hard-going in the book shop today. That and I've hurt my cracked rib again, probably the same way I injured my back, though I'm not sure how I did that either XD Hey, I fall down a lot! It's hard to keep track
Anyway, it meant that I couldn't sleep on either side last night, so I slept on my back instead which means - for some weird reason - I have terrible nightmares. My nightmares aren't just scary. They're incredibly vivid and realistic, and they stay with me forever. I've never forgotten a single one.
In this nightmare, I was on the top of a mountain in the Highlands with Fred Weasley (no complaints there

). He was searching for something, but he wouldn't say what. It was Autumn, so the grass and ferns were orange and bright yellow, a contrast against the grey cloud and drizzling rain; to anyone who's been on a mountain in these conditions, you'll know how grim and ominous it feels. We stopped for a rest at an old stone wall where a young blind woman stood, dressed in black, and asked if we wanted a wish or our fortunes told. I said no, because I was afraid of the price we'd have to pay in exchange, being all too familiar with Highland folktales. But Fred said he wanted to see a ghost. The woman agreed, but only on the condition that we wouldn't confront it when it passed, for speaking to a
Taibh (Gaelic for spectre) costs you your soul.
At that moment we heard the clatter of horse hooves on a road, only there was no road on the hilltop. When we looked up, an old funeral carriage drawn by six black horses filled the sky, which might sound ridiculous, but imagine everything in this dream feels totally real - you can smell the peat and feel that bloody misty drizzling rain that gets in everywhere, and feel your feet sinking into the marsh. So seeing this carriage, touching down on the hill and galloping towards me was just damn
wrong. The blind woman said we had to let the Taibh pass through us; if we moved it would stop and take us with it. We did as instructed, but once it passed Fred turned and followed, demanding that he wanted to see his own funeral. The carriage stopped and the rider pulled him on board and left before I could catch up.
I followed the carriage's trail for hours over this bleeding hill until I came to an old stone bridge where the three Peverell brothers stood (only, in looks they resembled that creature in the banquet scene in Pan's Labyrinth o_o), declaring they guarded the Water of Life and if I wanted to cross the bridge, I'd have to give them one of my ribs (wonder where that came from -_-). I did as told - oh, so graphic XD - then asked them if they knew how I could find Fred. They told me I would have to find the Grawny Man. I can't remember much of the rest, only images like the Grawny Man riding inside his carriage, who also resembled that bleeding terrifying thing in Pan's Labyrinth, only he wore a black cloak and cowl. And I remember looking down and finding the marsh was really blood and filled with bones, and later slipping down the hill and landing beside a loch where the body of a drowned woman dressed in Victorian garb washed up XD Ugh. So not a pleasant dream.
Btw, I am NOT on drugs LOL

This is just the kind of dream I have when I sleep on my back (which is why I tend to avoid it

). I also blame this on the number of folktales I read

In other news, does anyone else watch D-Gray Man? How AWESOME is that anime/manga?? I started reading it this time last year, but then someone spoiled me that Lavi (my favourite character and Fred-a-like) dies, so I stopped reading it lol XD And then, last week, I found out that he doesn't die, so it's all good! BOOYA!

Oh man, I cannot rave enough about how amazing it is. You'll just have to find out for yourselves
